Gustav Marcus Lauesen (1996, he/they) is a Danish theatremaker and mimer, educated at the Mime School at the University of the Arts in Amsterdam. Gustav's artistic practice is a fusion of his background in dance theater, comedy, and performance art, with the common thread being a humble desire to bring people closer together.
He often works intuitively, starting from simple images or fantasies that he tries to embody, usually focusing on subjects and themes that have, in one way or another, touched or affected him personally.
In Skagen, Gustav engaged actively in the local community, among other things by conducting a series of workshops in theater exercises in his studio, thereby contributing with a completely new offering that did not otherwise exist in the town. Gustav also held a few performances in his studio as well as a larger final performance in the museum's halls.
